This yeshiva is, first and foremost, for antizionist Jews yearning for a Jewish space in which they don’t have to minimize their politics, anger, grief, and fear. With this, it’s for people committed to dismantling capitalism and white supremacy, looking for somewhere to nourish their neshamas. It’s for dykes and fags and transsexuals and in-betweens. It’s for the mentally ill and disabled. It’s for people who have been pushed out of so-called “big tent” Jewish spaces that use all the right language, but refuse to walk the walk when times get tough. We’re building a yeshiva that can offer us the space that our anger and grief need, so we can stay in this fight for the long haul.
